The “Access for All” foundation is the independent authority for the certification of accessible websites. It specialises in assessing the accessibility of websites and has already tested numerous Swiss websites.

Certification guarantees that a website is accessible and that it complies with standards. People with disabilities and senior citizens benefit from accessible websites; use of the accessibility features is the only way in which many people can access content.

User-centered approaches

Certification of accessible websites is based upon comprehensive tests carried out by people with disabilities and accessibility specialists from the “Access for All” foundation. People with various special needs perform the tests using their respective representative assistive devices. By involving those affected in the assessment, the functional tests can lead to sound conclusions and solution-orientated methods can be sought and usually quickly found.

The principle of integration

Last but not least, the certification tests also represent gainful employment. Unfortunately, it is still very difficult for people with disabilities to find work and to become financially independent. The “Access for All” foundation continues the principal of integration as a matter of tradition. The foundation was founded by the blind computer scientist Arnold Schneider.
